| Description | A valuable Lewis & Clark Bicentennial Resource for use in community presentations, orgainzation programs, clasroom studies, campfire talks, conference/workshop exhibits, and lectures or field trips. Resources include: Lewis & Clark maps, geography, biographical sketches, and magazine articles. Topics include: Plants identified by Lewis & Clark like wildflowers, herbs, grasses, and weeds. Also a special mini-unit on Montana State Symbols. Materials are presented in folders and mini-units, all integrated with a Lewis & Clark theme. Materials include: books, games, activities, pressed species, overhead transparencies, internet sites, diagrams, and "how to draw" pages plus curriculums in both science and history. These are adaptable for adults or children. Very popular is the Lewis & Clark slide program that is accompanied by a historical narrative featuring the plants being identified during the Lewis & Clark Journey. |
