Meeting Minutes

Marcy asked to check out the minutes and for Linda to take out the Cook out at the top as it was included later in the minutes. Minutes were approved with corrections.

Challenge Cost Share Grant - Erin will write it for us. Discussion about what project we want. It was decided that we would include the Corp II events, Miles City events, Clark’s Birthday and Sidney’s events.

Corp II cost - $3,000 - $20,000 5-day period

Brochures 20,000

3 brochures - 1 - Clark Day; 1 - Corp II; 1 - Golf Course

Second brochure - floaters guide

National Guard - will help with Security - Marcy said in Bismarck it was mostly fenced in which made security easier.

Hours of Corp II - Marcy said they were 12 Noon - 6 PM

BLM tent - 4 information booths set up pretty impressive

Annette Schilling is Executive Director of N D L & C Commission.

Schedule speakers well in advance.

Pat Jones - Protesters - She gave them a slot in the tent and they never showed up.

Places to promote Corp II - schools, nursing homes, papers etc.

Newspaper in Bismarck did an insert - of the days activities, speakers, bio’s, schedule, etc.

Keel Boat - Marcy did not like the blue on edge around the base.

Stage area - has lights, screen, everything for presenters.

Marcy reported on Clark’s cook out - about 150 people attended. $1400 fund raiser. They raffles off a Lewis & Clark throw and got $90. We felt that it was a success.
