Minutes:Marcy asked for approval of the minutes from the last meeting. Christie made the motion and Laura seconded; motion carried.
Marcy/Linda reported on the Treasurer's report $571.70 is what is remaining in our O & P grant fund. Marcy asked for approval of the Treasurers report, Christie made the motion and Laura seconded it. Motion carried.
Floaters guide - check with Jim (Custer Country), FWP or us on the grant. Linda checked with Jim and he thought that the grant for Custer Country was just fine and a great example of partnering with agencies. The grant has been submitted. Thanks to all for your help.
Linda will contact the BLM office in Billings to find out how many of the Floaters Guide maps we need to purchase before we get the break on the price. Then we will go to the communities along the Yellowstone and have them purchase so many and we will all sell them for the $4.
Access Guides - NPS funds
Marcy went over the NPS revisions on the grant
Access Guide $1,500.00
2,000 guides, 11 x 14, glossy, 4 color. Elk River Printing gave the bid with $.42. Marcy will have all the design work done when they take it to the printers.
Christie will get with Marcia H to have the kiosk sign on our web site. Marcy said she has a picture we can use.
Mike Wooten will build the roof over the kiosk to prevent weather damage.
Directional Signs for our kiosk. Dept of Transportation will put these signs up for us and they have them. If possible 3 would be ok but 4 would be better. Christie will check with Ray Mengel on this.
Christie mentioned that the statues of the Lewis and Clark expedition are being turned over to the Museum. But they are in need of some maintenance.
Marcy mentioned that the State Commission has been looking for funds for upkeep on kiosk signs for this very reason.
Golf Tournament brochure/Events brochure - one on each side.
Christie went over the rules for the golf tournament and Christie will send out letters to the golf courses that have agreed to participate in the Slice of the Trail tournament. Linda will check on the Billings golf courses to see if they are interested in participating.
Map - Linda will get together with BLM and Kathy from FWP to see how we are coming with the map. We want to make sure that we have all the accesses listed on the river.
Events/Golf Brochure - 8 ½ x 11, 2 color and 4 color, 10,000 and 20,000, satin finish, off white paper, printing will be in black. Marcy will have the brochure designed ready to go to the printer. Get a quote so we can see the cost we are looking at covering. Contact the local Lions, Kiwanis, and Rotary for funding because they do some projects similar to these.
Marcy handed out the map that the State Commission and the Great Falls Tribune printed. It has the National and Signature events as well as the Significant events dates listed and we are to give these out. Also the Corp II events are there.
Mark Sandsavor - is good contact for Ft Peck tribes. He had youth dancers at the Confluence. They were interested in the Corp II stops and Dyani was a big help with the Glasgow event.
Events - Need by Sept 1st
Hysham - none yet - They would like to have their statues included so people can get off the road to see them.
Glendive - Clarks Birthday - Aug or Sept - Christie will fill in this one.
Terry - Yippee Days - Linda call on this for dates in 2006
Forsyth - Clark Among the Rosebuds - Linda contact Cheri and get a 1 or 2 sentences describing their event.

Marcy relayed some of the things her family got to enjoy in Great Falls during the Signature Event. Charles Fritz an artist was at the Museum, 1,000 pieces were on display at C M Russell Museum.
L & C Art work on display at the Interpretative Center. They attended the Giant Springs - fish hatchery. Lots of things to do and see
Marcy talked about Sidney's fund raiser on October 29th at the Mon-Dak Center from 6 - 9 PM, called "Clark's Cookout". The evening will consist of activities and presenters, Traveling Art trunk from the MT Historical Society. Marcy will get information on this to help us plan for Corp II as we move forward.
These are ideas that Sidney has come up with to enhance Corp II, Mountain Man Encampment, L & C exhibit involving the schools, musical jamboree, Girls & Boys Clubs, Girls & Boys Scouts (possibly have a day or two camp out), period animal exhibit (rabbit, raccoon, elk, etc), Shoot the butt of Lewis (using water gun or paint gun) and the Jaycees organization.
State Commission Meeting - October 11, 2005 in Big Timber. Linda mentioned that the corridor meeting will also be in Big Timber at the same time.
The issue of preserving the history of the Lewis and Clark events has been discussed at the state level. They would like us to put together packets of pictures (not digital, black & white preferred as they keep better) brochures, posters etc. the MT Historical Society will send out a list of what to keep for historical preservation. It was suggested to send copies to the MT Historical Society, Lewis & Clark Trail Heritage Foundation, and our local museums.
Domain name was discussed.
Linda asked if Marcia Hollis was still keeping our events current - yes
